Scarlet Stitch is an explosive fusion of classic rock and roll and southern rock.  Scarlet Stitch has had a break through 2013. Scarlet Stitch was Nominated for Best Rock Band and  Best Female Rock Vocals by the 2013 Georgia Music Awards.

They just released their 2nd CD Macon which is available on CDbaby, Amazon and Itunes and a brand new Music Video SUMMER RAIN.

Together for 5 years and holding strong, this rock and roll band from North GA will intrigue you with their original songs about good times, hard times, life's pains, all nighters, love, truth, and redemption.  Deb Carter's vocals are clear, powerful and captivating.  Duke Wayland's guitar style  is a  full throttle dose of rock and roll while  Brian Langley's  southern style guitar playing breathes life into every song.  Jason Kerns' bass taps in on that low vibe and strong beat,  as it all comes together with the high-powered and dynamic Tim Pieniaszek on drums. The energy and excitement Scarlet Stitch brings to their music, live performances and fans is infectious.

Deb Carter (Vocals/Guitar) -- Deb Carter was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.  She moved to Ithaca, NY for college and then moved to Athens, GA.  Music was a constant fixture in her house growing up.  Deb’s family is and has always been her musical inspiration.  Her musical and lyrical influences range from Ry Cooder, Lyle Lovett, System of a Down, The Sim Redmond Band, Jim Morrison, William Shakespeare, to Annie Lennox.  Deb writes songs because she loves it.  “It is freeing to write and sing about things that are personal and matter. Unlocking hard truths, knowing that you are not the only one who feels the way you do. I am grateful to have a form to share it.”  With her Taylor Guitar, Marshall Amp and a notebook full of words you never know what or who she is going to write about next.

Jason Kerns (Bass) -- Jason (Jay) Kerns is from Canton, Ohio and has lived in GA since the age of 17.  Jay has been a bass player for 17 years.  Though his specialties are low vibe, beat bomb, classic, and slap bass, he loves all styles, and is diverse in all.  Jay plays to please and loves to bring the Rock n Roll alive.  Jay Kerns likes and uses Crate, Peavey, Fender, and Boss tools.

Brian Langley (Guitar) -- Brian Langley was born in Lawrenceville, GA and now lives in the Watkinsville area. His favorite musical influences range from Hank Sr., Chet Atkins, Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Charlie Starr to Joe Bonamassa.  Brian uses Gibson, Fender and Paul Reed Smith guitars with Ernie Ball Strings through Fender and Matchless Amps.

Tim Pieniaszek (Drums) -- Tim Pieniaszek was born in Rochester, NY, and was raised in the Washington D.C. suburb of Lakeridge, VA.  He has been playing the drums since the age of ten.  Tim's influences include drummers of all types like Louie Bellson, John Bonham, Neil Peart, Peter Criss, Tommy Lee, Vinnie Appice and Adam Topol.  He plays Yamaha drums with a vintage Ludwig Acrolite snare, a combination of Paiste and Meinl cymbals and sound effects, and always Vic Firth sticks.  Besides wailing on the drums, he can often be found at the local pool hall, in the kitchen, or welding things together.

Duke Wayland (Guitar) -- Duke Wayland was born in Decatur, GA, and raised in Auburn, GA. Growing up in the south and being raised in church had a huge influence on Duke’s perception of music and it comes out in much of his writing. His influence from church was not always positive and sometimes left a negative feeling towards religion. Once he realized the world was bigger than his small town he started to think outside the box and his conflict began. Picking up a guitar and starting a band gave him the outlet he needed to express these conflicts, to find himself, and the balance.  After starting his first band around age 16 with his lifelong friends Jason Brock & Brian Bailey he realized his passion for music.  Many bands have come & gone but they have brought a lot of cool people into his life….. “I think there’s a song in here somewhere, oh wait I already wrote it”.  Duke continues to write based on life experiences and struggles; as his life changes and moves forward his music evolves as well.  His influences range from classic country to punk to metal, with his biggest influence being Slash.  Duke Wayland plays guitar and uses Gibson Les Paul guitars, Marshall JCM 800 amps & Marshall cabs, Ernie ball strings and Dunlop Tortex picks.
